How to Play

EraDrop is a real-time multiplayer music guessing game. A 30-second clip plays and everyone guesses — artist, year, or title — depending on the mode. Play with friends on your phones, solo, or take on the daily challenge.

🔄 Each round

  1. 1.A track starts playing on the host screen. Listen carefully!
  2. 2.On your phone: drag the slider (Classic) or tap one of the four options (Year / Artist / Title / Mix). Tapping locks you in immediately.
  3. 3.The round ends when everyone has answered or the 20-second timer runs out. The host reveals the answer and scores update.

📱 Joining a game

  1. 1.Open EraDrop on your phone and enter your nickname.
  2. 2.Type in the 6-digit PIN shown on the host screen and tap Join Game.
  3. 3.Wait in the lobby until the host starts the game.

10 rounds, your choice of mode, fully local. No login or leaderboard. Score up to 13 000 points.

📅 Daily Challenge

Everyone plays the same 10 songs in Mix mode. One attempt per day — your score goes on the global leaderboard. Resets at midnight UTC.

Formula: max(0, 1000 − years off × 100)

Year / Artist / Title / Mix — speed-based

Correct answer = 500 pts base + 25 pts for every second left on the clock. Max 1 000 pts. Wrong = 0.

⚡ Bonuses

  • 🚨Final round — double points. All scoring rules apply, just ×2.
  • 🔥Streak bonus. 3 correct answers in a row = On Fire 🔥 — earn an extra +250 pts every round the streak continues. One miss resets it.
  • 🏆Bar chart podium. At game-over, scores are shown as a proportional bar chart. Ties share the same rank (1st / 1st / 3rd).
